Leon Tai

Education:

Bachelor of Arts, History – Northwestern University 

 

Master of Arts, International Conflict & Security, with secondary degree in Political Strategy & Communication – Brussels School of International Studies, University of Kent 

Career summary:

Leon has been a teacher and textbook curriculum developer for Toshin’s Global English Camp in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan, a Field Specialist at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Census Bureau, a Civic Journalist at Chicago’s City Bureau, and currently works as a Federal Investigator at the U.S. State Department for Passport & Visa Services. 

Community/volunteer commitments:

Leon serves as a board member on WEAA, and is a violinist with New York City’s Riverside Orchestra. She is also a contributing member for New York City’s Japan Society, Transportation Alternatives, and the Congress for New Urbanism. 

Interests:

Leon plays violin and has studied various languages, currently learning Japanese. She has also studied basic programming and loves User Interface (UI) and web design.
